How to choose miso
Miso is one of fermented seasoners which is essential to Japanese foods, as well as soy sauce. Main ingredients are soy beans, rice and salt. However, spiritus may be added as preservative afterwards.
Therefore, for Muslims, we shall choose non addictive miso, which is not described spiritus and alcohol in ingredient details.
As Miso with non alcohol additive is sold at the normal supermarket, please check well and choose materials labelling.
Please avoid miso including food additives with broth since we can not check details of additive, and there may be the possiblilty that is used chemical seasoners.
Also if you cook miso soup by non addictive miso, of course it has a little taste. Thus, it is necessary to make the broth for sure. The broth is base of Japanese food and Umami made of the broth is the delicious essense base.
As the broth is available for using Dashi package (broth package) and taking the good broth easily, please check it as well.
Especially if there are little children, in order to grow children taste sensation and make health bodies, we would recommend to make miso soup made of “Broth and non additive miso” avoiding chemical seasoners.
