Simmered hijiki

Simmered hijiki

・Serving size:1 person
・Preparation time:25 minutes
40g fresh hijiki
10g(1/4piece) deep fried tofu
6g(approx 1/8) carrot

25cc first broth
1/2 big spoon soy sauce
1/2 big spoon beet sugar

*A big spoon: 15cc/15g


1. Wash fresh hijiki by water.

2. Oil removing for deep fried tofu by hot water and cut in rectangles.

3. Adjust length for both carrot and deep fried tofu and cut into approx 3cm strips.

4. Put broth, soy sauce and beet sugar into a pan on medium heat. Once boiled, add hijiki, deep fried tofu and carrot, boil and mix sometimes until dried.


<Cooking point>
Hijiki is a healthy food including rich mineral and dietary fiber. When you serve it to Muslims, please cook without sweet cooking rice wine.
If you use dried bonito for broth, it is possible for vegan.
